Bulldog Field Services (BFS) is a full-service contractor specializing in oil and gas construction and maintenance services. This includes, but is not limited to, pipeline construction and repair, well-pad surface equipment hook-ups, general maintenance and repair/replacement, and pipeline right-of-way maintenance. From its beginning in 2014, BFS has established itself as a dependable resource for operators in north central Louisiana and surrounding areas. Our personnel are seasoned assets well-known in the local oil and gas community. Between our Vice President of Operations, Eddie Bolling, and our Crew Pushers, BFS has a combined experience in this industry of over 100+ years. The key to BFS' success is our reliability to our customers while always keeping SAFETY on the forefront of each and every job.
Stephen O. Smith began his oil and gas career in the mid-1970’s with his father, Robert O. Smith, in Shreveport, Louisiana specifically in title and land. He has spent the last 40+ years working as an independent landman for Gene T. Oliver & Associates, Stephen O. Smith and Associates and now Hunter Energy Corporation (started in July 1989). With Stephen's vast experience and relationships in the north Louisiana Oil and Gas community, he saw an opportunity to team up with his partner, Eddie Bolling, to start a field services company. In April 2014, Stephen and Eddie started Bulldog Field Services, LLC. Stephen currently holds the position of President for the company.
Eddie Bolling began his career in the oil and gas field in 1979. Over the next twenty-five years he continued working in the oil field in an abundance of capacities, including but not limited to switching wells (in-house and contract) as well as working on drilling rigs. In 2004, he was hired as the operations manager and crew chief for BTP Contractors located in Lisbon, Louisiana. At BTP Eddie managed crews specializing in oil and gas construction, maintenance, and general roustabout work on well pads and pipelines. In 2014, Eddie and his business partner Stephen started Bulldog Field Services, LLC. Eddie is the VP of Operations for BFS where he is responsible for all field operations and current client management. Eddie's expertise and drive to meet our customers’ needs is key to BFS' ability to serve a strong client base in north Louisiana.
John Robert Smith began his career in January of 2009 working for Entergy, MS and Entergy, LA as an Engineering Associate. At Entergy he specialized in electrical distribution design, estimating, and customer interface. From there he went to work for Hunt Guillot and Associates, LLC (HGA) as a Project Engineer in September, 2011. It was at HGA where John Robert cut his teeth in the oil and gas field. While at HGA, John Robert worked his way up to become a Project Manager where he managed or supported multi-million dollar engineering projects for large gas operators that were expanding their infrastructure across their pipeline systems. John Robert's focus was specifically in Natural Gas Facilities (Transmission and Midstream) Engineering, Design, Procurement, and Construction Support. John Robert takes pride in building client relationships by keeping their interests at the forefront while maintaining clear communications at all times. In January of 2019, John Robert joined his father and father-in-law with the plan to continue BFS’ success and build off of the foundation they have established with their strong client base.
